News & Updates
Hello, It has been a while since my last blog. Herdwicks have dominated my time but I'm not complaining, there is no better companion than the woolly herdys.
In preparation for the upcoming Workshops I have been blending more grey herdwick with lovely soft wools and a little white to add lighter shades. My first Herdwick Ram doorstop is now complete, he takes considerably longer to make with his horns but I have been intending to make one for ages and now I want to make more of theses fine fellas! The other doorstops I'm working on are Owls but it is hard to build stock at the moment as they fly away as soon as they land on the shop shelf, another one is sitting on my desk awaiting his wings, then he will be ready to fly! Teddy bears are also on the to do list, so far one little brown bear is complete, he has a wire armature body which makes him poseable. Postie should be delivering my order of Wenslydale coloured locks this week, I get incredibly excited about any wool delivery, but I can't wait to see these new colours so that I can add to more lovely locks to the Woodland Woozles. The characters are named after woodland plants which makes learning about the woodlands with children so much more fun when they can take their own Woozle along with them. The next workshop is Easter Sunday but is fully booked, I look forward to meeting all those that are attending it will no doubt be a fun day. Other future workshops have places still available, all listed on my Workshop page. Mr Ram is pictured, I shall get a picture of him soon with all the ewes, hope you like him. Happy felting. . ...... postie just delivered my lovely locks! Comments are closed.
