News & Updates
May has turned out to be a busy month. Pictured above are the ladies with their finished Herdwicks at Quirky workshops. The sun was shining so we had lunch alfresco! At last I have started my long awaited Woodland Wuzel stories, my little woodland characters which are needle felted and named after woodland plants. The plan to write their story has been put off for too long, it has now been added to the Woodland Wuzel page on this site. The characters are available to buy and wuzel kits, I plan to add Foxglove, Fungus and Angel colours to the Wuzel kits so make your own favourite Wuzel. I hope you enjoy the stories :) Felted soap making yesterday, I purchased some wonderful merino in blues and greens, so had fun mixing them up. Looking to the weekend, I will be meeting members of Gosforth Art group and look forward to seeing their arty touches added to their felted herdwicks. Everything is prepared so we just need to turn up and have a fun creative day. Happy felting, Annis. Hi, something new, a needle felted cushion with Herdwick design, using my Herdwick blended wool. It's lovely and soft, to cuddle up to or just use for display. I enjoyed creating something different to add to my Herdwick collection. Next weekend is another opportunity to make your own Herdwick doorstop at my workshop, it is being held at Quirky Workshops, Greystoke near Penrith. There are still a few places available, details on my workshop page. Looking ahead, Woolfest isn't far away, June 24th & 25th, I will be visiting and spending too much as usual! 26th is another workshop at Quirky workshops, a busy woolly weekend Yay!! If you are attending my workshop next week, I look forward to meeting you and hope you fully enjoy your day, until then, Happy felting. |
