News & Updates
My Folksy shop is now open. It is a little sparse at the moment, I have beginners kits, wool supplies and more felted items to be added as they are created.
Lots more available at Santon Bridge Gift shop. A big thank you to all the ladies who attended yesterdays Workshop in The Woodlands Tea Rooms. There were many of their own creative touches added to the owls made, murmurs of doubt at the start of the session that some could not create the owls turned to twitters of joy at the end, I hope this inspires you ladies and others to come and have a go at needle felting, push your creative button and who knows what capabilities you have! Thank you also to Nancy for the use of the lovely tea rooms and the chef who provided delicious home made soup and sandwiches which went down well. Requests have been made for further workshops like this one, any new dates will be added to the workshop page. I was a bit low on supplies, apologies. I have had my delivery (a bit late) but, multi needle holders, felting pens, scrummy wool colours, at my next workshop I will have plenty in stock, Photos up on the Workshop page. I was lucky enough to walk the fells this morning with my husband, he enjoys photography and has captured some wonderful images which I'd like to share, now I'm inspired, Herdwick felting time!
CLICK on the Images to enlarge. Meet Twit and Woo, created from my new custom wool batts. My newly acquired drum carder has been keeping me busy. It is so exciting blending wools and colours to make your own batts. Mixing various shades of browns, naturals a little white, I get a lovely textured look for my owls, I used the firmness of a Jacob sheep wool, Parendale with the soft and silkiness of Alpaca and Merino. I also tried greys and whites. The results from carding are so satisfying. I shall have some bagged up shortly to sell on line and in the gift shop, we are making little Woo at the next Workshop, it should be fun, I can't wait to see all the different coloured little Woo's!
