Hello again. Where has the Spring and Summer gone ? I realised I've not posted an update since Spring .Here in the North West I think it has been a very good Summer as far as the weather goes , especially compared to recent years , when it seems that we have a run of decent weather in Spring then when the school holidays arrive in July it all changes . The weather has suited the veg growing and I've had some great produce including cucumbers and chili peppers , the latter of which I had not experienced much success in the past . We have spent some fantastic time with our Grandson this year both here with us and down in Derbyshire . It's much easier to while away the hours with children when the weather is favourable , and we got plenty of trips to the beach here , and bike rides on the many miles of cycle tracks in Derbyshire . We have been kept ticking over with the needle felting . Like some shops, I've suspended sales to the USA from Etsy due to the current uncertainty of the new tariff system which hopefully will be clarified soon . We've had a few things in Viridian Gallery , and currently I have a Herdwick sheep designed around a foot stool in there, which was a project I'd had in mind for a while mentioned in my pre Christmas newsletter . Richard had an interesting request from a previous customer , for a one off custom made A3 size picture kit for a young boy who was keen on having a go at needle felting but is also very keen on trains . Richard had expected a request for a steam train but it turned out he was directed to photos of one of the latest modern locomotives . When designing a new picture we complete a rough demo so that I can estimate the amount of wool to enclose with the kit . This was the result . It's also approaching the time of year and I have now made the the Nativity figures available and optional animal kits on Etsy . They are usually popular but being seasonal I just make a few which are available up to early December . So if keep an eye on the Etsy shop if you would be interested in a seasonal project which can be part of your Christmas preparations . I still look back at the photos remembering and appreciating the years and many workshops we enjoyed which took me to so many lovely places where I met some of you who may be reading this . With that said , until next time , enjoy the Autumn , and your needle felting ! Comments are closed.
